A trumpet player since the age of seven, Guy had a formal training in music throughout his school life. He became a jazz player in his teens but was seduced by the exciting pop scene developing in early sixties Britain and by 1962 was hooked on songwriting and vocal arranging. After a two year spell with JOE MEEK as a studio singer he put his trumpet away for ever and switched to keyboards. In the seventies he formed a soft-rock band called ROGUE with two close friends, ex ONYX guitarist ALAN HODGE and JOHN HODKINSON, former lead singer with the jazz-rock fusion band IF. Three albums and a dozen singles were internationally released on EPIC and ARIOLA . All songs were penned by Guy and his lyricist partner, DOUG FLETT and ROGUE became known as a high quality vocal group with hit singles and a substantial following in the UK , Holland and Belgium. All ROGUE recording will be re-released as a four CD set in Autumn 2014
